About the Author
Henry Hitner earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Moravian Collegein Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and spent several years working in the pharmaceuticalindustry, first as a research assistant in toxicology for Wyeth Laboratories and thenas a research pharmacologist for National Drug Company, both in Philadelphia. Duringthis time he earned a master of education degree in biology from West Chester University.He attended graduate school at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia,where he earned a PhD in pharmacology. Dr. Hitner then went into academia, wherehe held numerous faculty positions, first as an instructor of biology and allied healthsciences at Montgomery County Community College, followed by 30 years of teachingand research at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). At PCOMhe served as professor and vice chair of the neuroscience, physiology, and pharmacologydepartment. Other positions included director of the animal facility and chair of theinstitutional animal care and utilization committee. Professional memberships includedthe Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society and the American Society for Pharmacologyand Experimental Therapeutics. He was the recipient of the Lindback Foundation Awardfor Distinguished Teaching and a Mentor Award from the National Student Association.Henry and his wife Carlotta enjoy traveling, the beach, and time spent with family andtheir nine grandchildren.

I need this for a class, the price was really good. I ordered new, but not sure if book was actually new or not as it did not come with any plastic packaging or shrink wrap around it, which is why I rated it only 4 stars.

This book is required for one of my college courses, so I ordered it from the ISBN , and it came in about 5 days! Its is in perfect conditions, brand new! The same exact book and edition as the bookstore from college. (And at a good price) Can't wait to use it
